Planning a Tibet journey requires attention to detail, involving specific regulations and necessary documentation. To help you navigate this process smoothly, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about securing your Tibet tour reservation.
To begin your Tibet adventure, your first step is reaching out to one of our expert travel advisors. They will guide you through the entire reservation process, offering valuable and up-to-date insights about Tibet’s travel regulations. Keep in mind that specific areas in Tibet, like the sacred Mount Kailash, have varying regulations depending on the season and annual policies. To ensure everything goes smoothly, we ask that you provide as much detail as possible, including your preferred destinations and travel dates.
We strongly recommend booking your tour at least two weeks ahead of your intended travel date. This timeline allows us to obtain the necessary Tibet permits and documents required for your trip. For Indian passport holders, especially those planning to visit pilgrimage sites such as Kailash, additional permits are mandatory.
Once you’ve finalised your itinerary with our team, we’ll need the following documents to confirm your booking:
The remaining 70% of your total tour cost will be due upon your arrival, on the first day of the tour.
We offer international bank transfer options for the deposit. Alternatively, you can opt to pay the entire tour amount upfront.
We want to be transparent about our refund policy to ensure a clear understanding from the start.
Full Refund if We Can’t Secure Your Permits: Your Tibet Permit is essential. If we fail to obtain it for you, we guarantee a full refund of all payments, with only the bank’s transfer fee deducted.
Cancellation by You: If you need to cancel your tour, the refund amount is determined by our cancellation policy, which is based on the notice you provide before the departure date.
No Refunds After Departure: Once your tour begins, we cannot provide refunds for any reason (Altitude Sickness, Unforeseen circumstances because of any Natural Disaster beyond anyone’s control), unused services, including optional activities, meals, or hotel nights.Â
Changing Your Tour (Rebooking): Interested in a different tour? You can apply your payment to a new program by paying any necessary price difference or surcharge.
While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may affect your travel plans, our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility within certain limits. Here’s how it works:
30 Days Before Tour Starts: No cancellation fee, excludes the loss caused by refunding of air/train tickets. Refund the deposit within 3 days.
29 to 15 Days Before Tour Starts: 20% of the total trip cost will be charged as a service fee, excluding the loss caused by the refunding of air/train tickets. Refund you the rest of the deposit within 30 days.
14 to 7 Days Before Tour Starts: 30% of the total trip cost will be charged as a service fee, excluding the loss caused by the refunding of air/train tickets. Refund you the rest of the deposit within 30 days.
Less Than 7 Days Before Tour Starts: 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as a service fee, excluding the loss caused by the refunding of air/train tickets.
Your health and safety are our top priority. If you suffer from altitude sickness or any other medical issues during your journey, we will work with you to adjust your itinerary. It’s important to note that Tibet Travel Permits (TTP) are typically tied to the original itinerary. Significant changes to your itinerary may not always be possible, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs while adhering to the regulations set by the Tibet Tourism Bureau.
We’re here to help you create a seamless and unforgettable Tibet tour experience. Whether you’re planning a group tour or prefer a more personalised journey beyond Lhasa, our team is ready to assist you every step of the way.
